1. 申请来华签证：Visa Application
留学生需在本国所在的中国使馆或领事馆申请入华签证。申请签证所需要提供的文件包括您的有效护照，录取通知书（原件）及外国留学人员来华签证申请表（也称为JW202表）。在您取回护照及领取入华签证的同时，请确保使馆把您的录取通知书及JW202表原件归还给您。在华学习时间超过半年的学生须持 “X1”签证 入境。
注：(1)“X1签证”的有效期限为30日。持X1签证者必须在入境后的30日内申请办理居留许可，才可以合法地长期居住在中国。
（2）根据相关规定，留学生报到时须持有X1/X2签证或中国境内公安机关签发的居留证件，其他类型签证均不能办理入学手续。
因此，学校建议同学们不要太早入境，因为您只能在学校报到后才有资格申请办理居留许可。
You may apply for your Chinese Visa at the Chinese Embassy/Consulate in your home country. When applying for your visa, please remember to bring along with you your valid passport, the original copy of the university's admission notification and a Visa Application Form for Foreign Students Studying in China (also known as the JW202 form). Do make sure that your letter of admission and JW202 form are handed back to you together with your passport after obtaining your Chinese visa.International Students who will be studying in China for more than 6 months are required to obtain an ‘X1' Visa.
Important: (1) The ‘X1’ Visa will is only valid for 30 days after your arrival. You must apply for a Residence Permit within these 30 days；you would be otherwise considered staying illegally and heavily fined.
(2) According to Chinese law and regulations, international students MUST register at universities with X1/X2 visa or residence permit issued by Chinese police stations. Students with other types of visa are NOT permitted to register.
It is not advisable to arrive way before the day of registration since you will not be able to apply for a Residence Permit prior to registration.
2.住宿安排：Housing Arrangement
留学生应按照录取通知书上指定的报到日期报到注册。如需提前入境，建议不要早于报到日的2周。报到时凭学生本人护照证件在留学生管理办公室办理入住手续。

Students are required to arrive in university no later than the day of registration (the registration date is written on your admission notification). If you do have need of arriving early, we suggest you arrive no earlier than 2 weeks before the registration date. Students should check in at the International Student Management Office with their passports and other materials.

3.银行信息：Finance
（1）外币兑换：
学生可以在学校附近银行将外币兑换成人民币和开设人民币账户。
（2）电汇：
如果打算将生活费等费用电汇至国内账户，请另携带足以支付您在短期内住宿及饮食等所需的现金。由于银行需要数个工作日完成电汇的办理，为了谨慎行事，学校建议同学们携带一定数量的人民币(以足以支付一个月的生活、住宿、饮食及交通的费用）。
There are several banks near university where you can set up a bank account after you have arrived. If you are planning to convert foreign currencies into RMB.
If you are planning to wire-transfer funds/money to your Chinese bank account, do prepare some “on-hand” cash to cover the expenses needed for short-term housing, meals, etc. To be on a safe side, we recommend students you to carry the amount (of cash) that is enough to cover your monthly living expenses as it takes several working days for the money-transfer to be completed.
